What muscles should I train the most for the upcoming ski season?
We are taking a long trip to Colorado to ski this winter vacation. I am a fairly advanced skier but want to be sure that I can enjoy Colorado for what it offers, and tackle the long steep runs. Just wondering what muscles would be best to make sure I don't wear myself out in the middle of the run.
Side note: Looking to really make advancements in the park as well. Does strength make much difference in the park?
Thanks a bunch.

Balance will require neck and core strength, this will allow the legs to support you with the bones instead of muscles. Also in Colorado you are skiing at a much higher altitude so you need to develop your abdomin so you can breathe better. Your neck will help you keep your chin up which moves your balance forward and centers your hips over the full foot and against the tongue of the boot. Hope this helps.
