Going on maternity leave.........?
I am going on maternity leave soon and will be taking my child out of daycare, probably for good. Should I feel obligated to do something for the other students and staff there?

You should ask the people who run the daycare if you can have a small party for the kids so that they can say "good-bye" to your son/daughter. I'm sure he/she made friends with most if not all of them.
Nothing big and fancy. Cupcakes and fruit juice? :)

if anything you should be obligated to your child,see if they'll have a bon voyage party.
