What is appropriate for a gift for this? Jewelry? This is a friend of my daughters and we have been invited to her celebration. I am unfamiliar with the ceremony and gifts. I do know what it is basically.

Treat the quince anos as you would a sweet 16 party. The girl is being introduced to the world as a woman. It's a milestone. Tasteful jewelry would be appropriate. Cash is propbably more common.
