How much can I earn in California without losing my unemployment benefits?

I am currently collecting Unemployment benefits. I plan to do some odd jobs, but I won't earn nearly enough to survive on. I'm worried that when I claim this revenue, my unemployment benefits will cease. Is this true?

    No. If you make $300 a week in unemployment and $100 at an odd job the next week unemployment will be $200. If there is a week you make more than unemployment then that week you won't get a check. You have to tell them you are working the odd jobs but it isn't steady or full time so you will continue with unemployment until the time runs out.

    <Eligible check>

    Although specific eligibility requirements vary from state to state, most states have the same basic standards for collecting unemployment benefits. They include:

    -You must be unemployed or working less than full time

    -You must meet certain income requirements

    -You must be ready, willing, and able to work

    -You must have involuntarily left your job

    In general, you won't be eligible for benefits if:

    -You quit your job simply because you didn't like it

    -You're fired for committing a crime (e.g., stealing)

    -You've never worked before

    It depends on your current situation, job status, qualification.. I heard that it differs slightly per eash state. I hink the best way is to call the unemployment office and find out exactly what the specific would be...

    Not sure about California but in NY they go on how many days you work (and they go on a 4 day work week) When I was on it I had a P/T job for one day and had to claim it so I got paid for 3 days.
