When drawing a magic door to an alternate dimension, is it better to use crayon or sharpie?

Far to old fashioned , don't you keep up with the latest developments in time warp fashions these days..

It is obligatory these days more or less to mark these passages with fluorescent spray paint , if possible really screaming glow in the dark varieties..

You don't want to end up in a boring alternate universe ..... Do You ?..

Tip : The avant garde in alternates uses Silly string to mark the more interesting alternates, but don't tell anybody.

Crayon. Don't get me wrong. I'm a HUGE fan of sharpies, but they do kinda smell, and crayons have a childlike quality and scent that might be better to expose yourself to in that alternate dimension.

HEY! MY VERY DETAILED, and SPECIFIC ANSWER, about the little man who wore the inverted FUNNEL-CAP, and who I HELPED through all his 'trials', and 'tribulations', didn't show UP!

Well... it WAS MAGIC! And, it WAS a CRAYON! NOT a 'sharpie!'! I NEVER drew a WRONG 'line', with that CRAYON! It was MAGIC! And it WAS a LONG time ago! Maybe 'PRE- YOU', and ALL of the "so-far" respondents!

But, I've seen a LOT of WRONG lines drawn with a 'sharpie's! NEVER saw any MAGIC in a 'sharpie'!

oh my jessus. have you ever read harold and the purple crayon? i mean sure, a sharpie can get you there. but thats it! a crayon and you can draw stuff in the alternate dimension that will turn into real stuff! go read that book. it has all of... like, 4 letters and some z's. except the alphapet one. thats like level 2.

It's best to use magic chalk. Ground from the bones of a hundred magicians with occasional chalky bits. Although, chalk from the 99¢ Store is also acceptable for those living in magician free areas.

sharpie. I tried it with crayon and it just opened up a portal to the apocalypse :(

Crayon, unless you WANT people to be attracted to your magic door. Crayon = more discrete.
