What are some songs that bring back such strong memories?

Well, I just heard Kiss Me Thru the Phone and even though I don't even *like* the song, it brings back really great and strong memories of my friends and I and a road trip. It was fun and as the words to the song flashed in my head, it's like I was transported back to those moments.

What song(s) do you get that same experience from? What's the story behind it personally for you?

Update:

@Kelly,

You can name all the songs you want- I love reading about everyone's experiences. :)

Our Song by Taylor Swift always reminds me of singing it really loud in my cousin's car with my sister and two other cousins. We got a lot of other cars to stare at us. One person even gave us a peace sign:p

It's My Life by Bon Jovi always reminds me of going bowling with my friends in this really small, eight-laned bowling ally. The juke box had a really small selection of songs and the last time it had been updated was when Oops, I Did It Again was a big hit:D

Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd reminds me of going camping one year with my cousins and trying to make a hot tub out of sand.

That's all I can think of, but I think I was only supposed to name one anyway....

Don't Lie by Black Eyed Peas reminds me of a drama performance I did a few years ago at Christmas (sang Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega to the tune of this song and got an AMAZING reaction)

The song from the game Um Jammer Lammy where the lead character has to control an aeroplane reminds me of moving into uni as I had it in my head all day

Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera reminds me of the first time I did a cheer dance at uni

Together in Electric Dreams - Phil Oakley

    A Little Respect - Erasure

I was kind of obsessed with the '80s during the summer after 5th grade, so I borrowed - hmmm, more like took without permission - a few of my mom's CDs and the first disk was full of one of the decades greatest hits. I used to listen to it all the time when I started getting really into books, writing and type really short stories on my old computer.

    Nevrmind - Colors

Welcome to Rimini - Ric Fellini

Taste of Love - Den Harrow

Our apartment was really small and old when we moved to the neighborhood across the street during the middle of 6th grade about 2 years ago and I remember sleeping in my room during the first few weeks listening to these -loud- '80s dance music downstairs. So I kind of borrowed that without permission, too (I returned it back to my parents last month!) and it just brings back so many intense memories of listening to that CD in my Walkman in a room full of boxes.

It's nice, having songs that instantly bring back old memories :) Makes me think and feel out of the situations I'm in now.

My dad played Bob Dylan all the time in the car, I think "Sara" was his favorite song. He used to play it on road trips to annoy my mom. Whenever I hear that song I think of my mom stealing grapes from a farm (on the roadtrip) and then her throwing a Bob Dylan cassette in a dumpster.

"No Name #1" by Elliott Smith..the song is about how a guy goes to a party and finds himself trying stir up a conversation but he is lost for words, so instead of staying around at the party he just walks out the backdoor unnoticed. I have had a similar experience. So now when I think of Elliott Smith I think of parties.

Any song by Björk vividly reminds me of weekends in Leicester.

"My Life Would Suck Without You" by Kelly Clarkson reminds me of one of my best friends everytime I hear it, because we both love the song and the lyrics are fitting. It always makes me think of the one time when we were in the car singing it together, haha.

"Watch Out" by Bambee reminds me of my first "real" crush xD

Though I wouldn't really call that a strong memory.

    I'm so cliche.

Anything by Panic at the disco reminds me of Europe. 120 people from my school went to Europe and panic at the disco was oh so cool in 2006. It's all I can think whenever i hear anything by them.
