Ted Kennedy vrs legal Assault Rifle, which is more deadly?
This is a trick question. If you are a person of knowledge, you will understand that Ted Kennedy was infinitely more deadly than all the legal Assault rifles in the US.
But let's here your opinions, be they informed or otherwise.
This is why I added the qualifier "a person of knowledge". It is clear that most of those that answered have no idea of the correct definition of "Assault Rifle". They only have a media based definition. To answer this question correctly, they would have to know that an Assault Rifle is a machine gun, and so strictly controlled under the National Firearms Act. As there has never been a crime with a NFA registered gun, even cap guns are more dangerous.

Ted Kennedy stopped being powerful after he walked away from that car crash and left the girl with him, to drown. He just became a senator and the brother of the late, great JFK. He had the backing of the Kennedy name and without that he was nothing. From what I read about him I would not have trusted him as far as I could throw him. So I suppose in his hey day he was more deadly then an assault rifle.
Rifles do not kill, it is the men holding the rifles and fire that kill.
I am in the UK so my perspective of him may differ from the USA users who are probably aware of him more then I am.

"legal Assault rifles" are infinitely more deadly than Ted Kennedy. And yes, I'm a "person of knowledge" I just came to a different conclusion.
If Ted had shot, stabbed, or choked Mary Jo Kopekne (sp) to death then the trick part of the question might hold up but she was killed in an auto accident.

Ted Kennedy made a conscious choice to attempt to save his reputation when he abandoned MJK in his submerged car to die. Assault Rifles are machines that serve at the will of the individual that hold them.

ted kennedy was definetly deadlier
simply because he helped cut off US aid to south vietnam- which resulted in over 4 milion dead in communist "reeducation camps"
BTW- Will is wrong. most of the assault rifles used in Mexico are cheap AK clones from China and North Korea- same as the ones supplied to the Taliban or the Sudanese slave traders

I think the assault rifles are infinitely more deadly. I do understand but I happen to have a different opinion.

Pretty much every drug killing in Mexico and the southwestern US over the past decade or so used "legal" assault rifles purchased in the US. And the death toll is getting well into the thousands, more than half being innocent bystanders.
So, as a person of knowledge, I consider this pure right wing smelly horsepucky. But that's not going to stop your Goebbels-style denial of reality.

Since you said which "IS" more deadly (present tense) it would have to be the rifle...since Ted is dead.

Ted Kennedy's car kills more people than my gun.
