She wasn't a hooker.  She was a campaign worker.  

Yes, he swan to shore, walked away and left her in the car to drown in that cold river. Was drunk and stayed drunk for 8 hours afterwards.  Only then did he call the police.

Mary Jo Koepeckne WAS NOT a hooker, and it is disrespectful of anyone who says she was.  She was a young campaign worker who was with the wrong guy at the wrong time.  Your careless words are going to cause even more pain to Mary Jo's family.  How very cruel of those who say this lie.

Ted Kennedy admitted his responsibility for her death, and gave a strong voice to those in our country who have no voice.

He was never tried for this offense ,never faced a D.A. or a jury .He had a coroners inquest and that's how he got off .
