How does one impose a National Health Care Plan for 50 Million more people when you don't have Medical Staf?

So, it would seem you are ok with 50 million uninsured people in our country?

50 million is around 6 percent of the population of the US.

Are you suggesting that all of a sudden 50 million people would rush doctors and hospitals all at once?

Not only is there not enough staff for such things, there isn't enough money, and as one here stated , " They wont be making appointments for nonsense issues as they do today". People, is this not a wake up call? Who decides what is nonsense and what is not nonsense?

We cant allow the govt to decide such a thing. What if you have had a foot aching for a long time and no one has been able to help you? So , will the govt now say, " Oh, it is just a foot issues its a nonsense thing, let's wait till a more serious problem comes up." ? I assure you if you are the one with the foot pain, you will think it is quite serious.

We cannot ever leave such things in the hands of the government, who has clearly shown they cant even run the government on a budget, yet they insist we do.

Let us wake up America. This is another slippery slope we are ready to slide down on. And, where will we end up?

In Briton, despite the ridiculously bad press some have given our National Health Service we just employ more people with the right training or train them in house. As our system takes money automatically from peoples wage packets or salaries everyone who can't afford it is still treated like everyone else.

It is the idea of taking a reasonable amount from those who have for the good of all. We do also have a system of paying monthly or whatever for a private service. This gives those who can afford it a better standard of surroundings and food but I gather that emergency situations require the appropriate specialist to come from the NHS to give treatment.

I don't know how the US can leave their poor to suffer, if this is what happens, just because they haven't the money to pay.

That would include closing state hospitals for the mentally ill and state schools for the mentally disabled, and restricting medical services to all but the younger and healthier among us. The blueprint for this is found in the Communist Manifesto. Stalin practiced this. While Hitler committed his atrocities against the Jews in the late 1930's and the 1940's, Germany was under national socialism for most of the 1930's. They were a brilliant nation and were lulled into thinking they were practicing a wonderful social experiment. They had "progressive" people running their nation, much as we do in Congress now. And Nancy Pelosi dares to call anyone who protests a "brown shirt" (For the uninitiated, those were the Young Nazis trained by Hitler and his henchmen. BTW, I am not a fundie. I am a student of American and world history---which sadly, is no longer taught in our public schools. That dumbing down of America, plus the elimination of religion, is our downfall. Not only is there not enough money to cover all of us, it still wont work. All we must do is look at the program they have in Canada, of socialized medicine, to see the nightmare that brought. This will be no different, and it will lead to a destruction of all this country is about. easy, it seems that one simply convinces the old and sickly to surrender their life thus leaving more openings for the younger crowds which most (in general) don't need or want health insurance- saving $$$ and transfer it to ACORN and SEIU (not sure of spelling but the group of unions), and the new Civilian National Security Force ( i hope this is not emailed to obama's black list), they are getting 5 billion $ of tax payer $$$ just because--smells funny here--since they support Demos not Repubs.

i personally think the question should be why are there 50 million people in the us in need of health care to begin with this did not happen over night but definitely needs to be corrected this is america we should take care of our elderly and our sick if we can't do that then tell me what we stand for again

I suppose he'd have to provide incentives for more people to become doctors. It's certainly a more honorable profession than, say, insurance adjuster or lobbyist. How did Bush manage it? Oh, that's right, he practiced faith-based healthcare.
