1985 mercedes 380se.?
i have a an 85 mercedes.some times when i go start it it starts on the first turn. next time wont hit at all.seems to always start better in the morning,any help on this will be appreciated.as i dont want to spend alot of money an 85.thanks to any one who can help. mel.

You said you can easily start your car in the morning, I think your problem is related with fuel. Start first by checking your fuel pump relay and your fuel accumulator.

@ckb61, CIS injection was phased out about 10 years before this vehicle was produced. All W126 chassis with gasoline engines received Bosch KE fuel injection systems.
Back to the original question, when you say this vehicle starts better in the morning, it would suggest it likes cold-starts better. When it does give you trouble, is the engine still warm? It could be a fuel related issue or it could be hot-start issue. Some diagnostic time will be required.

you have a fuel pressure issue,the type of injection system used on your 380 is known as CIS and fuel pressure is critical...would lay odds the accumulator has an internal leak and needs to replaced...
