Bill H. has the correct answer, but I might add that contracts in NASCAR do not mean much. Kyle Busch had a contract with HMS for 2008, but they kicked him out for Junior and Kyle won 8 races with Gibbs. Kurt Busch had a contract with Roush and left for Penske. Mergers happen and that can void contracts. I expect Hendrick is not going to put up with 25th place finishes for the 88 much longer especially when all his other cars will be in the Chase, and Brad Keselowski who has won more races than the 88 in 2009 (only run 9 races to Junior's 24) and is on contract with HMS.

24 Jeff Gordon- lifetime contract with Hendrick Motorsports

#9 Kasey Kahne-signed until 2010 with Richard Petty Motorsports

#48 Jimmie Johnson-signed until 2010 with Hendrick Motorsports

-likely to sign a lifetime contract with Hendrick Motorsports

#88 Dale Jr.-signed until 2012 with Hendrick Motorsports

Kasey's runs out after next season. I don't believe that Jeff's ever runs out, he will be at Hendrick as long as he continues to race. JJ is in a contract year, which is part of the reason Lowe's declined to continue sponsoring the track at Charlotte. I'm not sure about the last one, though.
