Why doesn't our new President, put a stop to the Somalia pirates?

Cuz he's a total wuss, and doing so would be an indication that he cares about this country, it's defense, it's soldiers, and just laws in general. B.O. doesn't care about any of these things.

The Somali pirate issue is not a military problem but an economic and societal one. The pirates tend to be former fisherman who have been displaced by illegal dumping and overfishing by outsiders. There is no real government structure in Somalia. There would be no "one" to surrender. To "blow them off the map" would be both immoral and ineffective. The actual solution(s) are all much more complex than this forum allows for.

If thats the case, the dumping of poisonous waste, and unlawful fishing must be stopped because of the undeniable fact that's misguided morally, and it may supply up pirating. yet another believed clarification for Pirating is the poverty of the Somali human beings. i do no longer think of stealing justifies pirating, yet once you elect an on the spot determination, in that situation the only thank you to offer up it somewhat is to assist the individuals with nutrition... except you elect for to apply stress. there are a number of proclaimed motives, yet I dont think of no person however the pirates themselves no for surly...

Sorry but there is nothing HE can do about this. This is done in international waters. The USA has no jurisdiction there. So many americans want to send a nuke on Iran because they want to blow Israel off the map but you want your President to blow Somalia off the map because of a few pirates? Funny.

I agree with almost NOTHING this new president does.

Not "blowing [other] countries" off the map is one thing that I do agree with.

The US should deal swiftly and decisively with Pirates. Send a helicopter and blow the boat out of the water... But countries who don't police their own - should be made to pay with sanctions.
