Math problem? Operations on functions?

f(x) = square root of X+1 and g(x)=(2/X)

then i have to A) add the functions (f+g), and then B) subtract them (f-g)

    basically, just add and subtract them algebraically

    f + g = square root of X+1+ (2/X)

    f - g = square root of X+1 - (2/X)
