Comparison: Windows Vista vs Windows XP Pro?

I have 2 computer one with xp pro sp3 and one with vista ultimate sp1.i like vista in term of security because it has UAC which causing USB virus can't get to my computer easily(every program that hasn't installed or unknown program need a permission to access)but this is also become annoying and some program didn't work well on vista.i like xp in term of speed and compatibility.i say speed because it consume less memory and cpu than vista do,and many old programs run well on xp.maybe it can help you and sorry for my bad english

i am running a AMD6 X2 5600+ with 3gig DDR2 800mhz ram and a Nvidia 8600GT. And i have rund Vista 32bit and 64bit service pack 1 and i can say vista sucks i have problems with some of my software(updated for vista) and games don't run or they run but very crappy. On Xp Service pack 2 every thing run 110% without any problems. So i say stick to Xp for now and Please dont run service pack 3 there is something wrong with it, i don't know what but me and some others have notice some problems with it(performance and networking)...

I think Vista is not for daily use and stuff cuz its a lagging system...

Windows Vista looks better than XP but XP is better as there are so many updates for it.

you have heard from people that either hate change or are using the new win vista with old hardware. it works great. Wait for win7 as it is much better than either.

vista just got SP2 and is good as xp. win 7 is coming up. so no need to worry becuz ur gonna upgrade.
