Bleach exposes the undertones in hair as it lifts, which is why your hair turned orange. Why did you bleach it a second time? You have to tone it now, and there is a possibility that that cannot be done with a drugstore box color. Get an ash blonde dye, like an 11A and mix it with a 30 volume developer in equal proportions. Apply this to your hair 1/2 inch from the scalp and ends, apply it there halfway through. If your hair is still a little brassy use Simply Silver shampoo. That will get rid of any brassy tones that are left.

There are so many home kits out there that promise if your hair is brown it will bleach it to a platinum blonde with no brassiness, and that's a big joke! Hon, even if you go and bleach it again, it will not get rid of the orange tones, not all of them. You need to go to a professional and have them fix it, it will be worth the money and you will get that blonde you really want! Good luck

Hunny. If you had dye in your hair before you did that. Im really sorry to break this to ya. But you shouldnt have done it yourself nayway. Shouldve went to the salon. It will only turn a lighter orange and make your hair fried if you bleach it again. It could even fall out.
I say you go get a 6 dollar hair dye set for a really nice light brown.
And also get ego boost by bedhead for about 16 at a beauty salon. (To help with the alreaadyy bleach damge)

This happend to me too and I used sun-in super and now it's light blonde. Sun-in has a bad rep but they've improved the formula a lot and so long as you use a good conditioner the damage will be minimal. Failing that, you'll have to bleach it again, or dye it if it's quite light already.

You need to bleach it a second time. The reason why it turned orange is because you probably had dark hair to begin with which is harder to bleach simply because it's thicker. So all you need to do is bleach your hair again, and you should be good to go.
Best of luck!

You are dicing with death, the death of your hair. Do any further steps by yourself and you could easily lose it.
Please go to a professional colorist who knows what she is doing.
Too much bleaching just melts the hair and it falls out.
You'll be miserable and hiding out for months.
Go to a pro, it will be worth it.
Good luck xx

you need to bleach it again. getting to this stage is perfectly normal. MOST people will only get to the orange/ginger stage after the first bleaching, it is just a stage of the natural underlying pigmentation being stripped away: http://media.photobucket.com/image/shades%20bleach...
all you need to do is to bleach again until you reach the pale yellow stage, and then tone with a platinum blonde toner: http://www.healthinajiffy.co.uk/born-blonde-condit...

Wash your hair multiple times and get all that color out, than get a new lighter hair dye from the store, and dye it all over again but don't do it too many times in a row it and damage your hair.

now that its bleached, buy the dye.
the people there can help you they are experts in color management or whatever.
you need to get the color now that your hair is lighter. if its still dark its just orange, bleach it again then dye it.

because something failed while in the process, you should really consult a hair stylist who can help you transition your hair to platinum blonde. or if sally's beauty supply store has informative workers that can help you, ask them what they recommend.
