Barca Philosophy or Real Madrid Philosophy?
Barca Philosophy: Spending times and money building young players and make them into super stars: Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol..
Real Madrid Philosophy: Spending millions getting best players and put them on the team.. Don't care that much about team chemistry:
Ronaldo, Kaka, Alonso, Benzema...
Well. Florentino Perez doesn't care about youth players!!!
Well. what works on fantasy teams may not works on real team..

Real Madrid is a joke, even if they win 5 trebles in next 5 seasons they won't get half of respect that Barca got.... Barca always MAKES best players, Ronaldinho, Figo, Deco, Rivaldo, Yaya, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o ETC ETC were not the best in the world before they came to Barca while Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo, Kaka, C.Ronalda, Beckham etc etc were already the best in the world. Real Madrid are a joke, they were a joke with Franco and they're a joke now with Perez, most of their success in football was/is because of their FINANCIAL domination over the rest of Europe.... but not anymore, Laporta is much smarter than Perez when it comes to leading the club, he takes care of financial AND football part of Barca while Perez cares only about business part of the club. Barca has won the TREBLE last season with ZERO debt, Barca was €9M in positive balance...... Real will maybe win something but they're in BIG debts and they had to BORROW money to BUY success. Barca EARNED their money....

Both clubs have their own philosophies and both of these philosophies have their own merits and demerits. There are two basic reasons behind those philosophies. One is their respective business models and other is their playing style. While Barcelona's youth academy is probably the best in the world but it also means that they are far too dependent on their own youngsters as any player bought from outside does not fit easily into their TIKI TAKA playing style.
On other hand, core of Madrid's most successful teams never came from their academy but was bought from the outside and that was possible because Madrid's playing style is much more adaptive to the technical strengths of the players available to the coach. It is also helpful in generating huge merchandising and sponsorship income but the flip side is that it also costs them monstrous amounts of money to put a team of world class footballers together.

you don't realize how biased this Q sounds. Real Madrid do raise players, but it's a long story: Perez does believe in the youth academy, but playing for Real is very intimidating for young players considering its a club where the greatest players in the world have played and when at home the fans literally DEMAND good football (most of the fans at the Bernabeu are season ticket holders) and all this pressure mounted on a growing player can take a real blow to their confidence if they mess up. So what Real Madrid does is loan/sell the players to gain experience with other teams to get used to the pressure, the big stage, etc. But when Real Madrid loans/sells their players, they try to always have a buyout clause to take the player back when they think they are ready.

shut up d***head. barca have also been humiliated (to shaktar (UEFA CUP TEAM), remembert that defeat in the CL at the camp nou 2-3 (YES, THREE GOALS) ), dont u remember. but they had a similar scoreline of defeat sometime. RM DONT have a great defence. did you know that??? they have had their share of defeats like this. that really just shows real are not good in defense. even puyol scored, and pique scored. you cant be respecting barca so much for this result. where was this SAME barca team last season, the season before. and as for the liverpool comment, didnt your OWN goal keeper, SCORE an OWN GOAL to liverpool. i think they managed to score twice at the camp nou in that CL match, right, RM just gave away one. i would put my money on barca of course to win everything, even though i dont like them. hey, the form team is ALWAYS my team ;)

haha thats not a leading question! of course everyone says barcelona which is why alot of people jump on their bandwagon they have an attractive program in that aspect..
unfortunately teams are not purely made up of only their youth team players..
what about the mega transfer fee of ibra does that not count?
anyways as for the 4 youth team players you mention that are on barcas team ill give you 4 excellent madrid players who came through the youth system: casillas, raul, granero, and guti
so dont tell me real madrid doesnt produce their own players to an extent and dont tell me they do not care about team chemistry.. they seem to be conencting better than barca so far- i have watched both teams in every preseason game so far
sorry i had to rant a bit tired of hearing this slop that madrid dont have chemisty or produce their own players
