Ramadan...testing to destruction? or just taking the "P"?
From some arab friends of mine i've been told that, under the rules written for the observance of ramadan ('scuse spelling if it's wrong), they are not even allowed water between sunrise and sunset. This is a desert religion! There are however situations that allow you to drink..eg, if you're really thirsty! and eat..eg, if you're really hungry (or diabetic, pregnant etc) so, what is the point? you submit to the real rules, you probably die or end up seriously brain damaged (the brain is over 50% water!), or you ignore the rules, live, but maybe get smoted by Allah! come on Allah..you're having a laugh no?

yeah and here (iran) if you drink or eat anything or even smoke a cigarette in the street and they catch you, even if youre sick or something you go to jail for atleast a day and surely you would be beaten up by goverment so the hell with islam lets be free

Im pretty sure you have your facts wrong...you are not allowed to drink/eat even if you get really thirsty/hungry. That defeats the purpose.
Muslims have been fasting during this month for many years now without problems. They dont need you worrying about their health now.
Thanks for the concern, tho

it is mandatory to fast...
one of the five pillars of islam
a fast doesn't count unless you pray....
only exceptions for not fasting are if a women is on her period [she is considers unclean]
the person is too young
the person has a sickness or is sick
the person is pregnant
and no cursing
i don't know much.......
but come on have respect.....
i wouldn't say anything bad about anyones religion and what they believe......

"end up seriously brain damaged "
Well... to be fair, I mean, considering they believe there's a magical fairy in the sky who created everything, I don't think 'brain damage' is something for them to worry about.
