Do the people who come and eat in the restaurant actually have to pay for their meals?

No. The people you see eating in the restaurant are selected individuals and they don't have to pay for their food.
The chefs in the kitchen are not so experienced. Therefore, the producers wouldn't make people pay for food that most likely won't be up to par, you know what I mean?

Nope it's free! If you notice next episode, when they show the menu, there are no prices next to the food. I wanna dine there, food, and a show, brought to you by the screaming Chef Gordon Ramsay.
