Who was the man that married Julia McCormack, brother of William J. and Harry Francis in NYC in early 1900's?
I have been looking for my paternal grandfather. His name supposedly was James L. Curley. My father was James Henry Curley, but used "Harry Jerome", until he changed it.
Anyone know anything about any of this I would appreciate hearing from you.

-- Excerps:His mother was Julia McCormack from New York and his father was James L. Curley -----MY name is William J.Curley and I am delving into the muddy pool called "Family History". We are a New York / New Jersey rooted Irish Catholic family you can immediately see the problem. Things happen and the "older" generation is / was very closed mouth about indiscretions such as drinking and divorce when we were kids, so now in tracing roots, I end up bouncing off a wall, so I turn to the Internet.
My father, born in New York, died in 1942 in Ridgewood,New Jersey and I believe he was about 40, so that would have him born about 1902. For some unknown reason to us he "used" the name "Harry Jerome Curley", but in fact his name until April of 1942, when he had it officially changed, was James Henry Curley. Paperwork indicated his mother was Julia McCormack from New York and his father was James L. Curley. I know his mother was Julia McCormack and I know she married a Curley. supposedly James L. (could be Lawrence) Curley. He "disappeared" for some undiscussed reason and was not even mentioned in the wedding announcement of my mother and father. An old aunt let it slip one time that she visited him in New York City where he supposedly owned a bar.
