What do you think of slow feeders?

Ok me again. My mother in law was going to buy some fancy slow feeder bag for her horse, only guess what he is in my pasture with my horses. She would have had to buy at least three. So I fashioned my own slow feeders using the existing feeders we had and added extra grates to them so the hay is harder to get to. The first thing my mother in law did was as my husband to remove the grate from her horses feeder. Ok. Then I continued to use my feeder for the other horses. I would feed them in the sides with no grate and then fill the grated part so they could"graze" all day. This has been working beautifully. But my mother in law implores me to please remove the grates. "They can't get their hay, etc." I have told her I feed them their regular food and that is a supplement but she doesn't get it. AHHHHHHH! Now I told her they must be eating it because it is all gone by evening feed time. And she says she took it out occasion when we weren't around. Can you even believe?

Update:

That is funny.

I know I vented about my mother in law when I was supposed to be adding details about the topic. You are right. Sorry

I ramble alot.

Thanks for answering. I never get many answers. I see people that ask the stupidest questions and get like 17 answers. What gives?

She sounds VERY annoying. Tell her they are YOUR horses, and she can buy you a million bags, but your not gonna use them because you already have the problem solved! From what you say here, it's going to take you to be rude to her for her to listen. Or just politely tell her to stop worrying etc. Hope I helped (mother -in-laws are a drag sometimes -_-)
