How can I talk to him/get his attention?

Just try to talk to him. Ask him how he likes the school, or a certain teacher. Make conversation about homework you both had, something, anything.

New people like having friendly people around.

Try to be less shy. Act like he's just another friend, and get to know him. Then maybe something will happen and you guys will get closer and go from there.

Will you answer mine? It is similar, kind of, and I have asked it a lot as well, with no luck.

im going through the same thing and im a sophomore in college. i feel weird being able to relate in this kind of situation to a 8th grader...maybe i should re-evaluate my life lol jk anyway well find a time where he is alone and go up and talk to him just say "hey, my name is____, how are you liking school so far?" idk just say something that is friendly and not a yes or no question. be yourself it will make the situation less awkward. if he doesn't open up all the way that's ok you can always come up and talk to him again and maybe he will slowly open up if not all the way. hope this helps or at least a little bit.you have nothing to loose. just remember that you have to start slowly first acquaintance then friends then who knows what :) don't rush it!

Hey, I know how you feel. I kind of experience that before. Firstly, you have to remember that that guy may be wanting to talk to you too. So, there is no need to be shy.

Don't just look at him. Do smile at him. Just to make sure that he is really checking you out. this is to get things started between the two of you. You just have to say a simple 'hi'. Everything will flow from there.

Well if i were you i would walk up to him in the hallway or in class and ask him where he is from and what it was like where ever it is that he came from. ask him if he likes it at ur school and what kind of change it has been for him ask him if hes made any new friends or anything like that and then later on ask him if he wants to hang out. Thats what i would do. GOOD LUCK GRLY!!!!!!

Try having a friend do a lil sumthin to get yall to talking. Stick a note in his locker or sumthin. You have to do SOMETHING to let him know that you like him or that your interested because just by staring he'll or you will never know what going on. But maybe you will just have to get enough guts && approach him first!. Hope this helps :)

how i got the attention of the guy i like was by looking at his eyes and he would look back

and my friend sabrina is really good friends with him his name is jake

so jake was like so whos your friend me im andrea haha and she was like andrea so i came back from getting a drink and he introduced him self to me and shook my hand haha i thought it was cute and he was like im jacob blah blah and the whole lunch we would stare at eachothers eyes so then after class we have chemistry together he waited for me and asked for my number and now hes almost mine haha so talk to him if he doesnt have the balls to talk to you duh!

approach him when he's alone in a casual situation, ask him 'bout class or something...
