There are a good amount of skylines in the US wich have found there way through different loopholes and have all the legal paperwork,so you can find them it is just sorting the safe ones out.
Point above true about adding performance to another car,but i have owned many sporty cars, but the skyline has its own feel and is a pleasure to drive that when you have few days not driving it you miss it,and you find yourself making excuses to fetch milk etc so you can go back out in the skyline. So it is def not all about the power but an overall experience.
More recent skylines you can have no problems in the US being the G35 models which sell in Japan under the Skyline title.

the authentic reason is this- Nissan by no skill submitted vehicles for finding out to instruct that it met US protection and emissions standards. A 2nd situation is that no person grew to become into keen to purchase sufficient vehicles to placed up for finding out so as to get a license to import them for highway use. Japan additionally has emission rules and passenger protection rules, and on an identical time as no longer interchangeable the Skyline with a minimum of differences could desire to have the skill to fulfill those. yet Nissan elected to no longer attempt and the fee for a private guy or woman exceeds the fee for a diverse make and type of overall performance vehicle that could already be offered in the US that's equivalent or greater powerful then the Skyline.

yes and no..there are ways around it but you would have to purchase a new one in japan, your taxed for importing, shipping cost, cost for modifying to fed regulations, cost and more cost,, it would be more economical to have a car built for performance than paying for a skyline..
