I am always worried about getting fired. I'm about to buy a house and the feeling is even worse.?
During my last job I was promoted twice. In my current job that I've had for about a year now, I far outperform many others and have saved my company a ton of money. I am worried that something I screwed up on in the past will come back to get me fired or something. I never have a specific reason for my worry. My company is in great shape, so layoffs aren't a real worry. Why am I always expecting to be fired?

you are in the boat alot of people are in...with our economy in the hole like it is the risk of being laid off is over alot of peoples heads...you need to just go to work everyday do your best and just take life day by day

the economy isn't exactly in happy times it sounds normal but it isn't normal for you to worry so much
Pray to God - ask God to help take care of you- Cast all your cares to God for God cares for you.
Are you afraid of being homeless? what is it you afraid of.
Even the homeless have hearts. I've seen some of the most starved impoverished children with a smile on their face just to have a bite of food -
I'll pray for you that you continue to work and do good and keep your job.
