Thank you for setting the record straight. Of course you drew out the stupidest arguement, which is that Constantine formed the church. This from a guy who belongs to a religion that is nothing more than a runaway bible study. Enjoyed the youtube presentation. Keep the faith and God be with you.

To read the extremes of denial those who refuse to admit the Catholic Church is the one true and only Church Christ ever began is like a Murderer on Trial and having a high powered Lawyer attempting to twist the facts in a attempt to prove his clients innocence.

I think I see where you are coming from, but did you realize that the formation of the Catholic Church did not occur until during the time of Emperor Constantine. Here are some quotes:

The New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology explains: “The doctrine of the immortality of the soul came in to take the place of NT [New Testament] eschatology [the teaching on the “Last Things”] with its hope of the resurrection of the dead and the new creation.

The New Encyclopædia Britannica explains: “The [apparent] delay of the Parousia (Christs presence) resulted in a weakening of the imminent expectation in the early church. In this process of ‘de-eschatologizing’ [weakening of the teaching on the “Last Things”], the institutional church increasingly replaced the expected Kingdom of God. The formation of the Catholic Church as a hierarchical institution is directly connected with the declining of the imminent expectation.” (Italics ours.) So not only were millennial blessings transferred from earth to heaven but the Kingdom was shifted from heaven to earth. This “relocation” was completed by Augustine of Hippo (354-430 C.E.). In his famous work The City of God, he stated: “The Church even now is the kingdom of Christ, and the kingdom of heaven.”

Meanwhile, in about 313 C.E., during the rule of Roman Emperor Constantine, legal recognition was given to Christianity, much of which by this time had become apostate in its thinking. Religious leaders were willing to be put into the service of the State, and at first the State controlled religious affairs. (Before long, religion would control State affairs.) Thus began Christendom, part of which (the Catholic religion) in time became the official State religion of Rome. Now, the “kingdom” not only was in the world but was part of the world. What a far cry from the Kingdom that Christ preached!—John 18:36.

There is much research that can be obtained as extra proof and if one is willing to consider; it can be seen that the Catholic Religion is far from the one true belief. It is recognized that from the illustration that Christ mentioned about the wheat and the weeds; Catholicism is the weeds. See my answer to this question:

Edit: What I have said here is no lie. What is talked of is the lead up to the "formation of the Catholic Church"; prior to these events there was no Catholic Church. As much as you would like to claim ownership to works of the first century Christians; I can assure you that the works of the Catholic Church are far from that.

It is exactly as I have said; "There is much research that can be obtained as extra proof and if one is WILLING TO CONSIDER". So if you want to go on telling yourself that all is okay with the Catholic Church and that it is right no matter what; then that is your choice. But if you're "WILLING TO CONSIDER", you may be able to find the truth.

Personally, I believe there is not. There are many contradictory religions, so at most one of those that are mutually exclusive is true. Frankly, it is a good bit easier to believe that none of them are.

What does it matter? If you believe that there is a higher being capable of mercy then as long as you don't think that humans are the most important on this earth then you are part of the intended human race.

if you take the original church which jesus is supposed to have founded then the one true church is catholic.
