anyone know of a good motherboard please that fits this case??
I tried using an ASUS CM5570 computer motherboard but the PCI slots don't match

The fact that you specified it as a Mid-Tower case already tells us, its an ATX formfactor. Just get a motherboard (mobo), that specifies its for an ATX style case. As for the Asus CM5570 I think you are specifying the wrong product code.
Searching Asus database, the CM5570 is a computer already in a case. There was no specific info about the motherboard inside the case. But just looking at the picture, the tower case was a mini-tower, so most probable the mobo was a mATX formfactor. No wonder why it didn't fit eh...
