Have a question about hair coloring?

I'm a natural golden blonde and I want to color my underside a dark color (dark brown most likely). I've heard that using over the counter hair coloring (dark on blonde) can turn it green. Is there a way it can be done without the expense of having it done by a professional?

If you use an ashy color with a blue or green base, it might turn out with a greenish cast to it. Dark brown hair has much more red in it than blonde hair so you are best to use a color with a warm (red, gold) base to it. It will be much more believable if you use a color with a warm base. It won't turn out red, don't worry! Use a red/brown and good luck to you!

It shouldn't turn your hair green. Just stick with a really good, well known at home coloring kit.
