Just leased a mazda 3 2010 i-Touring and I want to know if I got a good price?

I just leased the Mazda 3 2010 i-Touring for 240 a month with no money down (just paying for plates) 10000 miles a year for 36 months. This is my first car and I wanted to know, for piece of mind, if I negotiated a good deal or not. The MSRP was 19070 and I think the residual was around 11000 and cap cost around 18000. Any information from someone experienced would be appreciated, thank you.

That is about what they are going for right now. $229-$249 with 0 down, depending on your credit.

Did the contract require you to have gap insurance or extra high liability limits? 10k mi per year is low, below the average for 4 wheel vehicles. How much is the extra mileage surcharge? At least they gave you a good residual, yeay Japanese cars!

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do now. You should have done your homework before even deciding which dealership to visit. It is also financially unsound to finance depreciating goods, like vehicles. It is not an investment if it drops in value, and it will. While it is possible to trade the leased vehicle in or purchase it before the lease contract ends (in which case the mileage total won't matter), at the end of the term you will have made $8640 + high insurance payments and still not own the vehicle. Oops. What kind of used vehicle could you be buying outright in 3 years with $8640?

At least the Mazda 3 is a good car, so you can console yourself with that fact. But the Best car of All is the Paid For, any year & model.

As leases go you got a fair deal. But personally I would never lease a car. For me cash is the only way to get a good deal. I think paying dealers of banks interest on someting like a car that only depreciates in value is silly. About your lease I hope you don't drive too much becasue 10,000 miles a year is nothing. The average is between 12,000 and 16,000 miles a year.

My fiance merely went interior the direction of the same determination. He offered the Mazda3 i traveling. customer comments costs the reliability of the Mazda3 as marvelous, and the motor vehicle those days gained an award for having the final resale fee in its type. this is an exceptionally severe high quality motor vehicle, and not as commonplace looking because of fact the Corolla. the two one is going to be a stable motor vehicle, yet once you're aggravating approximately resale fee i might pass with the Mazda given Toyota's modern issues.
