What would eat all my tomatoes?
I just went outside to water, and something ate ALL the tomatoes off my Roma bush! They weren't even ripe yet. The bush looks like it hasn't been touched but EVERY tomato is gone!
A couple of weeks ago something ate all my petunias down to the nub. I'm thinking deer for that. Would deer eat unripe tomatoes?!?
Wow! I thought it must be deer! The bush is right by the back door and the dogs didn't make a sound!

YES! - You got it right, Deer will eat alot of things this time of year . Building up energy for... (Well lets say looking for that special lady!) and having to fight many times with other bucks for the prize. They will lose alot of pounds during this time not eating for days with one thing on their mind, Chasing does which burns up the fat quick. I have seen them clear out a garden including flowers in less than 3 days.So green or not it doesn't matter its all good for them. Just bad for you, and also they will remember next year where they got that good stuff!

Yes, Deer love tomato's, ripe or green, and they eat some of mine every year. They also love Pepper Plants, and nibble on everything at least once.
So far they haven't eaten the Petunias.
