Set up 2 a 2 circle Venn diagram.
Now, since 10 like both, that would leave 30 liking only Cricket, This leaves 25 people left to account for.
The problem you have here, however, is that the group of 65 has not stipulation stating that they all like cricket and/or tennis. This means that you have no actual means to directly answer this.
That being said, since there are 25 people left, I would say that one possibility is that 25 only like tennis. This would mean that 35 people like tennis (25 + the 10 who like both)
If that helps - great - But you need to expand the ? to include whether the 65 peolple only like one or the other first.

65 - 40
= 25 ppl like tennis
thats if some of the ppl who like cricket from the 40 also like tennis
but if 40 ppl like cricket only
40 + 10 = 50
65-50
= 15 ppl like tennis

Total number of peoplein the group = 65
Number who like cricket , n(C) = 40
Number who like Tennis , n(T) = x
Number who like both , n(C^T) = 10
Number who like only Cricket = n(C) - n(C^T)
= 40 - 10
= 30
Number who like only Tennis = Total number of people in the group
- Number who like only cricket
- Number who like both
= 65 - 30 - 10
= 25

n(CUT)=65
n(C)=40
n(CintT)=10
n(CUT)=n(C)+n(T)-n(CintT)
n(T)=65-40+10=35
Tonly no(T)=35-10=25
u can do it like this or u can use vein diagram too.
