"The Time Traveler's Wife" - I haven't seen the movie, but definitely loved the novel. And from what I hear about the movie, it is in fact better (shocking, I know).
"Stardust" by Neil Gaiman - I read this because I enjoyed the movie so much. It's very different, and more mature than the film, and still very enjoyable.
"The Princess Bride" - yet another novel I read because of my love for the film. It's really interesting to read and understand the film as an adaptation of the book. I thought it was a little slow in the beginning, as the narrator explains why he is re-writing the story he was told as a child, but once you actually get into the plot, very enjoyable.
"A Midsummer Night's Dream" - one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. Funny, about young love, overly confident actors and fairies.

Impossible by Nacy Werlin.
It Has to do with a family curse three impossible tasks and that only true love can save her. I thought it was a good book.
