Your analogy is wrong this is nothing like asking a non-American what it's like to be an American. Believing in nothing is every bit as valid as believing in something, especially then neither position has any proof, and very much after proving that the literal interpretation of the Genesis story is dead wrong. Perhaps the metaphor of Genesis is supposed to teach us truths about being people but historically it's an obvious mythology.

I'm going to start keeping ready made answers - I have answered this question about 8 times in the last 2 days.

Anyway:

1. I have free will

2. I believe that people might find my opinion interesting

3. I want to learn about Christianity and other religions

4. Because there is no atheist section

No, not strange at all. This is where people bring up the existence or non existence of a god or gods since such beliefs usually relate to religion.

Also, many atheist know the bible better than many christians and are more unbiased about religions than someone who is indoctrinated into any give one.

No. It isn't strange. It's a site to discuss religion. Why is belief in God required to discuss religion, a subject that affects people in our society whether they believe in God or not?

Religion and Spirituality is the topic of discussion not the prerequisite for discussion.

Because they have opinions on it too.

I mean, I'm not married, but I sometimes answer questions in the Marriage & Divorce section. How is that wrong?
