When playing tennis, and the ball gets stuck in the racket, how is the point scored?

This has happened to me twice in the last two weeks. I swing and then miss the ball, but manage to get it stuck in the open part where the racket meats the handle. Is the point replayed, or do I lose the point in that instance?

You lose the point because you fail to hit the ball back. It can't really happen too often. You can't even aim for that to happen. It is just bad luck.

U lose the point because u didn't hit the ball over the net.

Source(s): For the first question. It is the persons point when they hit a dropshot and it comes back on your side of the court. The dropshot hit the other half of the court first so it is your point.

The point would be rewarded to your opponent because you were serving the ball.

    Ripped and Stan are correct.

Source(s): Tennis would be a thing for me.

maybe u should learn too play tennis! ooohhh, FACED!

Seriously, though, stop doing that. It ruins our otherwise expert-level play.
