I know how to insert MS-Eqn in a word document, but how do I insert MS EQN in a slide of a power point?

I tried it but the size of the object becomes so small that it can not be read from the screen. If I expand it by "dragging" the boundaries, no other word can be typed on the same slide. Is it that I am using a version of ms-equation which not suitable for vista?

Use equation editor which is a tool in microsoft office. In typical installation of office it may not be there. You can add it and use it. I have used it extensively on my website. I just now tried some math symbols and copy pasted them in powerpoint and found it very satisfactory. Let me know if you need further clarification.

I would try bringing it into word, then copy/pasting. if that doesn't work then bring it into MS paint or some other picture editing program, turn it into a .jpg and copy it from there.

    I hope this helps
