I'm 19 years old I want to move out here in the state of Texas.do I need a cosigner in order to rent an apartment since I'm a first time renter. I have a full time job, but I need to know if I need a cosigner because I don't think my parent will cosign because he doesn't want me to move out. Need sum advice thanks:D
And I have no credit yet. So if I dnt have good credit then I most likely will need a cosigner?

I was 19 when I got my first place and only had a credit card for a year. Although it was little credit, it was over 700.
However, where I moved they didn't ask for a co-signer. Usually wherever you go they want people who will live there to sign, and if no one's living there. They may not ask for one. Usually co-signer is someone you use on a loan, not an apartment.
So in conclusion, it depends where you go and their requirements.

The only people who need cosigners are full time students, people with very low income but have good credit or people with really bad credit. Otherwise the apartment complex will ask for 1 and a half or double the rent as a security deposit.

Some places will require a co-signer and some won't. If you are making excellent money, your credit will only matter if it shows you have a history of not paying debts. I had to have a co-signer on my first apartment because of lack of credit and in their eyes, I wasn't bringing in enough income to pay the rent. However, I did pay the rent on time every month because it was the first priority. If the rent is 20% or less of your monthly income, then you should be okay.

Unless you have good credit or income, you will need a cosigner. Given you are 19, I highly doubt you have any credit. Your parents do not need to cosign. It could be a potential roommate or friend.

Well first, in most apartment complexes you need to make three times the rent.
And the best thing i think is to find a good roomate that you trust to cosign for you.

honestly if a person isn't going to rent to you because of those reasons a co-signer won't change there mind
it's so hard to get money from a co-signer
someone will be willing to give you a chance
if not that no one would be able to find an first apartment ever

I don't think so. It will depend on your credit report. If you have delinquent accounts that will count against you.
