XP, network configuration?

I have laptop, which I use in 2 different wifi networks (home and office), one network requires TCP/IP settings (such as ip, gatway, dns server etc) another needs to leave the settings blank. I have to write or delete those settings every day, when I enter new network. Is there any easier way to do it, why doest XP let me do just 2 network connections with diferent settings?

If your office network is through a server then this is a domain network. At home the network is most likely a Workgroup network.

To use a computer on a Domain network, you must have XP Pro, Vista Buisness, Vista Ultimate. The Home editions will not work on a Domain. They keep disconnecting.

In XP pro you just create new network connections, rename them and you right click them and enabel to use them or right click disable to not use them

click Start >Network connections (located just above printers and faxes) on the RHS you can create a new connection. You can have as many as you want. Just enable one though. If you stay at a hotel, you can have one to suit the hotel for example.

I suggest to update to XP Pro, only cost a few bucks.

You can use the alternate settings in XP for a second network. If you use the "Obtain and IP address automatically" option for the first network the tab for "Alternate" settings appears. Add a static IP in there.
