This is my sister in laws recipe, I've never tried it (I'm not much of a peach cobbler person.) but everyone seems to love it!!!

    INGREDIENTS

1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches

    2 tablespoons butter, melted

    1 pinch ground cinnamon

    1 pinch ground nutmeg

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    1/2 cup water

    1 cup milk

    1 cup white sugar

    1 cup all-purpose flour

    2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 pinch salt

    1/2 cup butter

    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    DIRECTIONS

    1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

    2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with juice, 2 tablespoons melted butter, a pinch of cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg.

    3. Dissolve cornstarch in water, then stir into peach mixture; set aside.

    4. In another bowl, combine milk, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Beat until smooth - mixture will be thin.

    5. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a 9x13 inch pan. Pour batter over melted butter. Spoon peaches over batter. Sprinkle top with additional cinnamon and nutmeg.

    6. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until knife inserted comes out clean.

I always think of cobblers as being like a biscuit on top of the cooked fruit. I use the recipe out of my old Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. The only exception is I add 1 1/2 Tbs. of cornstarch and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg to the peaches. I don't have that recipe in the computer, but if that's the type you're looking for, send me an email and I'll type it up for you.

Peel and slice 8 medium sized peaches, sprinkle with about 3 tablespoons brown sugar and stir. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

In a small rectangle casserole dish, melt 1 stick butter or margarine. Mix 1 cup sugar, one cup milk and 1 cup self rising flour. A few little lumps are okay. Pour into casserole dish and carefully spoon peaches on top using the juice also. DO NOT STIR. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 -30 minutes.

Sprinke the top with brown sugar. Do not cover until cool. Recipe can be increased by using equal amounts of milk, flour and sugar. Add more peches as necessary.

It relies upon on the form you define a cobbler. some human beings call a cobbler some thing with a crunchy ideal, others call a cobbler some thing that has a dough that rises from the backside. that's all concerning to the part of the international you reside in and the form you're used to it. right this is my fav rapid thank you to make cobbler. a million/2 cup of milk a million egg a million stick melted butter 2 teaspoons baking soda a million/2 teaspoon salt cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and so on.c.c. on your style a million a million/2 - 2 cups flour. blend each little thing mutually and pour it into your greased baking dish. prepare your peaches with slightly bit sugar, cinnamon, and a couple of million teaspoon of vanilla and pour them and the juice over the flour and milk blend. because it bakes, the dough will bubble up and bake and it will be fairly!

put fruit, sugar, water in sauce pot bring to boil and boil for 10 mins.

    batter- 1 stick butter, 3/4 c milk, 3/4 c self rising flour, 1 c sugar

put butter in cassarole dish in preheated oven (350*)

mix flour, milk, sugar together til well mixed,

when butter is melted, pour batter over butter, then spoon fruit mixture w/juice over top of batter (do not stir the batter will rise to the top when baking). bake @ 350* for 45 mins or until top is firm and crisp. enjoy.
