Anything similar to Carmax?
Is there another place like Carmax?
Like how their cars are fully inspected so they don't give you a bad car.
You can look up what they have on their website.
And they transfer their cars to other carmax places across the country if they have to.
Is there anything similar to carmax or are they the only ones?
so carmax isn't actually that good and truthful?

They may be inspected but have been known as buy here pay here world with stores closing left and right and moving to new town as soon as locals find out that cars are not mechanically sound, most have no clean carfax and they triple price if you have credit problems just like what it ia a buy here pay here. At an auction they waited till cars and trucks were not with a clean carfax or a salvage title.
They , for instance have a 2000 Trans am for 14,500.00 that has been wrecked to tune of 8,000.00, had salvage title as they dropped a LT1 from another wrecked TA. In ALL books has a "real value " of 1500.00 as an average with over 125,000 miles but does not work, salvaged, and wrecked besides the 13,000 over priced car. They still charge 14.9 to 24.9 APR also. A store just got closed as a customer had a solid 750 beacon and was given 16.9 APR and was offered at another bank with 6000 down a 9.9 APR which is against the law as you can only charge 2 points above the bank. Also cars were sent off without good tires or brakes which is illegal as car has to be legal to sell.STAY AWAY AS THE BIGGEST THIEVES WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CREDIT CHALLENGED PEOPLE. . Also, if you trade in your lemon from them and have a payoff of 10,000.00 at a Dealer like Toyota , we called for payoff and they said for us it was 3500.00 and keep car or 1,000 and we give it back to them,.

Carmax has a poor reputation in the industry. And with good reason. They have been sued too many times to mention, and usually lose. If I were you, I'd shop anywhere but Carmax for a new vehicle. If you do shop there, be sure and have your mechanic look over any vehicle you like.
