Steep roof has new deck and felt but no shingles.?
It rained a little overnight. Should I allow roofers to install shingles if the felt is moist? I know they are in a hurry to finish the job but should I allow them to start at 7 am after overnight rain?
I appreciate all of the answers (4) so far. I am very anxious to get it done before cooler weather but didn't want to push it and end up not having it done right. I'll watch the felt for tears and rips. They did get all the flashing on and no leaks found yet.

Don't worry about a little moisture, Heavy dew on a cool morning leaves the roof very wet. If you had enough rain to completely soak through everything and even got water inside the house, maybe let it dry out a bit. Otherwise roof it and it will dry out just fine.

Let them get the job done. The felt underneath the shingles is doing its job: the last guard against the elements. But it cannot last very long unless it gets shingles over it. (a good wind could tear all of the felt off)
Please let your roofers do their jobs. It sounds like they know what they are doing.
