Mine was a 79 Toyota Corola.
My brother bought a Daytona Turbo and took me to go and get it. He picked up his car and said "so, this is all yours", and he drives off.
I'm like... Ahh, I don't know how to drive standard...
Took me 45 minutes to go 10 minutes away.

late 70's or early 80's saab that was more or less the color of an m&m after the shell has been sucked off completely. it was ugly, it smelled bad, it sounded like a 90 year old smoker when it was running, it was a standard and all in all was my absolute favorite car to date.
one of the first times i drove it, it melted my key in the ignition and i had to drive it for the next two years with a screwdriver instead. it ultimately caught on fire while parked on the street. R.I.P. Chester Kurt Vonnegut, II
addition: as frustrating as it was to learn the stick, after i got it it has hurt in my heart to drive automatics.

i had a 2002 ford zx2 ... it was brand new i put aftermarket tires and wheels on it tinted the windows .. it was my favorite car until some redneck in a old beat up blazer ran a light and smashed into it after i only had it like 8 months and totaled it ..
now three cars later i drive a 2007 eclipse ...

Buick Century and i loved it..It was given to me by my grandfather when he died...it was only 4 months old at the time. I now have a ford taurus!
