which is better ps3 or xbox 360?

If you want to watch a lot of movies and not play video games as often or want to play offline more than online than you should get a PS3

If you want to play a whole variety of games with not as much movie watching and loads of online play/fun than you should get an Xbox 360.

I personally own both consoles and even though the PS3 online is free I would much rather pay my $60 for Xbox Live. I only have a few PS3 games as I spend most of my money on Xbox 360 games. I just enjoy playing the Xbox 360 a lot more. I can connect to all my friends easier too, since most of them have an Xbox 360.

I have both. I prefer the PS3.

I can't really give reasons on it though, because of this;

I have both and play them on a HDTV, and I can't tell the difference between the graphics. No matter what anyone says, I can't tell the difference. They're basically the same.

The online play is no different. I play online on PS3 and XBox360 and I know, and everyone else that I know, can't tell the difference. Again. We can easily connect to games on both ones and each has almost the same features online. Only the PS3's is free. I play online on my PS3 and I think it's exactly the same as PS3's. Only the layouts are different.

The games? Again. Almost the same. Almost every game coming out is released on both consoles. Only a few games are exclusive, and I like the exclusives on both consoles just as much. The only difference is that the PS3 has more games for all ages. They have a lot of kids games, teenage games and adult games. A lot of each genre. Wheras the XBox360 is more FPS-orientated.

So, I don't know why I like PS3 more. I just seem to be more addicted to it. Maybe I like the controller better? Aha, I don't know. I just find it more addicting.

It all depends on what your preference of games is. In terms of hardware, yes, the PS3 has a Blu-Ray player, but personally I like the 360 better. The online is much better than PS3, and has the Gears of War series and Halo. It's all up to personal preference, both systems are great and have their fair share of great games.

It is an opinion, but the PS3 is more media-centric while the Xbox 360 is more gaming-centric. I prefer the Xbox but I like the PS3

ps3 is easier to find for cheap i was going in a street and found a ps3 for 40 bucks and anyways has better games

360 is better online although it's more expensive,,,
