Do you agree with the fact that most people regret getting divorced after they do it?

Most of the them may be having a bad time staying together married, but once they divorce they long for each others company. Do you agree?

I read somewhere that if you are considering divorce, you should talk to 10 married couples and 5 divorced ones - I guess that's to find out whether the married ones are glad to have stayed together (and to hear about the obstacles they've overcome), and if the divorcees regret their decisions.

I've heard about women throwing divorce parties (kind of the opposite of wedding showers), so I can't imagine that they are unhappy. I definitely wouldn't say *most*, but I'm sure that many people regret their divorces. The main reason for this regret, I would imagine, is loneliness....that and the fact that having time out of the relationship helps people to forget just how emotionally and mentally taxing it was! Out of sight, out of mind! ;)

I don't know if "most" people regret divorce, but I think it's normal to grieve the loss of the marriage. No one gets married intending to get divorced, and it's usually a painful thing to go through.

No. I don't regret divorcing him. I miss the friendship we had we were great friends but the marriage part not so good.

No, I never had any regrets... far from it. Added to that I have 3 ex husbands... no regrets any of the times, not even for a second.
