how do I use my laptop and receive wireless internet at work?

All you will have to do is activate your wireless card and then select the wireless network at your workplace. You may need a password if it is encrypted but your workplace should know the password just ask someone and make sure to write the password down somewhere.

To check available networks click the start button then "connect to" and it should list all the wireless networks that it can see.

Just use your wireless network manager to switch to your work's wireless network. Most computers will have a little radio icon next to the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen on the toolbar - click on that, and you'll see all of the networks in your range. Make sure you have any necessary passwords to get on the network.

If this is company network, you may need to have your notebook cleared by the IT department before you can connect to the WiFi. Also, you may need a password to access the network. If there is no limitations on the network, your OS should tell you the connection is available and let you connect to it automatically.

Just click on the icon with the waves and computer and select the network, but make sure there is no pass. Figurit out.

Clear it with your supervisor and/or IT -= you do not want to cross either Plus they will probably have to grant you access to the secure network.

If it is not a secured network, it will connect automatically.
