Baby Alien Halloween Costume?
My husband and I are expecting a little girl any day now, and so she'll be about a month and a half by the time Halloween rolls around. We always go to a Halloween party for our church, and have decided that we're going to be Scully and Mulder from the x-files, and our little girl will be our baby alien.
So my question is, do you have any ideas on how to make a baby alien costume? And one that's somewhat comfortable for a newborn? I don't have a sewing machine, although I could probably sew minor things by hand.
Thanks in advance for any ideas!

dress her in a green one piece or sweater and pants.
get a green hat and use black fabric paint for the big eyes on the hat oh and you could sew pipe cleaner and aluminum ball antennae on the hat
hope this idea looks adorable on your baby! :)

I have seen baby costumes made as a bunting for very young babies like yours will be. Get some awful bright green fleece and make a round-bottomed bunting. On the hood, add eyes or anything that looks alien. At some fabric stores, they even have fleece that's glow-in-the dark. That would be fun. It does cost a little more, but you'll only need one yard.
This bunting will be so cozy and comfy, she'll sleep most of the evening.
I can go into detail about how to cut and sew it by hand. If you want to do this, let me know and I'll be happy to tell you how to do it. Click on my avatar for an email link.

Maybe some green facepaint.
Green booties.
