What is the name for the cable which connects the computer with the network?

I am trying to move my computer to the other side of the room, but the cable is not long enough. What is the name of the cable which connects the computer to the network (I think.) It looks like a telephone cable with clips on both ends, but it's thicker and bigger.

    You need an RJ-45 cable, also known as an Ethernet or network cable. Get category 5e or 6 quality.

    RJ-45 Cable..also known as Ethernet cable...normally 100m is the maximum for the signal to be reliable...
