what are those plants in my garden tall with spires then yellow flowers that turn to puffs like dandylion?
i lost track of what i planted where. the leaves look sort of like cabbage but there's no head. i know i planted lettuce and spinach but this doesn't like like that. it doesn't look like squash or cucumber or cantaloupe or anything viney. it's not radishes, beets or onions. it really doesnt' seem like it could be eggplant. any ideas?

sounds like your lettuce might have gone to seed - i run into the same problem every time i plant them (which is my greengrocer loves me hehe)
