What should I wear for a dinner with interviewers the night before job interview?
I have been invited to dinner with my job interviewer (and presumably other candidates, as well as some of the interviewer's colleagues) the night before a job interview.
What should I wear? The restaurant is unspecified but I imagine nowhere really posh.
Note this job is a for six month research assistant in a University economics department, not for a high flying well paid city job, and I'm only a post-graduate, not an executive.
Top half I'm thinking a shirt and a V neck smart jumper. But for bottom half I'm undecided between smart jeans and smart trainers or my suit trousers and shoes.
This is such an unorthodox invitation I have no idea how to proceed!

LOL! Let me start over. You're a guy.
Not jeans. The rest sounds good!
I'd go with suit trousers and shoes.
Hope you get the job!

Trousers and shoes.
It may only be a 6 month research assistant's post but you still want to project yourself as being professional. And your appearance is half the battle already won.
As a number of recruitment companies will tell you, people often make up their mind about someone within the first 2 minutes of meeting them, so creating the right impression is vital.
