About STD's! GENITAL HERPES!?

Is it 'POSSIBLE' (not 'Vegas odds') to AVOID contracting Genital Herpes, and still DO the DEED?

WHAT 'measures' will INSURE (ENSURE) that the disease is NOT passed-on!

Been 'told' ... can't KISS... can't STROKE... can't POKE... (and WHATEVER ELSE one can IMAGINE!) TRIED to do BETTER...

Butt... (yeah - THAT too!) if THEY 'INSIST' ...

"I" think 'gettng PREGNANT would be BETTER! But... THAT just seems to 'bless' BOTH of the UNDESIREABLE alternatives!

Any 'KNOWLEDGE'? ANY 'suggestions'? ANY 'experience'?

It is possible but you never know who has genital herpes out there, heck your partner may not know that they have herpes.

There is nothing to ensure you that you will not have the disease passed on but there are things you can do to decrease your odds of getting herpes. As long as your partner doesn't have signs of an out break you're less likely to get herpes from them. But you still have a small chance of getting herpes when there is no out break. If they are on antiviral medication then that would even further reduce your risk.

You know you could get pregnant AND get herpes. A blessing and a curse at the same time.

At least herpes is not HIV or AIDS or some thing life threatening. Herpes is not life threatening and some people make it out to be the worst thing out there (that is only the negative stigma that comes with herpes), but there are worse things out there to have or get then herpes.

By the way herpes can be passed on even if condoms are used. Herpes can affect all areas of the genitals (not just the shaft) and there is sitll a lot of skin left uncovered even if your partner wears a condom. If there is an out break out side of where the condom covers you still have a chance of getting herpes.

    Always use condoms.

Never have any sort of sexual contact during an outbreak, ask if the person feels numbness or a tingly sensation where they usually break out at, if they do an episode is beginning.

Hepes is not the end of the world.

More people have HPV (genital warts) than herpes & aren't even aware they are carriers or actively infected.

If you are scared of being infected, there is always the lotion & porno option.

Keeps you safe but no other participants =/

It's up to you what is best!

herpes is like little red bumps in the small and large there could be lots or just a few. Herpes never go's away but you could be lucky and not out break alot or much.

well you cant catch what isn't there, so sexual health screens before you start any new sexual relationship.

If the person has HSV1, avoid oral sex when they have an outbreak or signs of an impending outbreak and the chance of getting HSV1 on genitals is low

if the person has HSV2 and is no longer having outbreaks and they are on Valtrex, the risk if transmission is 2%

Condoms are poor protection against herpes

Herpes is a horrible un treatable disease to have. Especially for a female. Use a female condom because I guarantee the guy will do anything possible during sex to make the condom "fall off". Just tell him you know it must have been hard for him to be honest about his condition and you appreciate him being candid,at this time you don't want to risk contracting a serious untreatable disease.
