Who's better Republicanp party or Democrat party?

.

I'm always amazed when reading here at Y/A how much the democrats hate the Republicans and how much the republicans hate the democrats. When are you people going to wake up to the fact the no matter which party is in office they are corrupt, bought off, special interests groups come before you or I, they surround themselves with thugs, Ex-Felons, Racists and Tax Cheats.

This has happened because for the last 20 years, we've been given absolutely nothing to choose from, politically. The political parties choose who THEY sponsor to run for president, leaving us to pick through THEIR choices.

We need a third party. If we can't get one going then we need to VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS IN THE NEXT ELECTION AND DEMAND TERM LIMITS. WE MUST GET THE WASHINGTON MAFIA OUT OF WASHINGTON IF YOU EXPECT ANY REAL CHANGE. No more professional politicians.

Update:

Apparently some of you are so dumb you can't recognize a question when you see it.

George Washington said it best, "They serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community" No party is good because it squashes individual action. Politicians do not vote their conscience because they're always following the party's lead, despite their own inclination. Rather than working together on things they agree on, and against each other on things they don't, they work with the party and divide the government, and thus the country, pretty much down the middle. Voters end up voting based on party affiliation to help decide the balance of power in the house and senate, rather than voting for who we actually like, and choosing who they want running the show based on an R or a D next to their names, instead of informing themselves about the issues. If I were you, I wouldn't choose sides like that. Both parties are disasters that are being inflicted on us. Right now, I'd say the Democrats are doing the most damage to the country, since they're in power (ask me when W was running things, it would have been a different answer), and the Republicans have done the most damage to themselves by having no standards or direction. I'm not sure how critiquing the Democrats is racist. Any valid criticism is valid despite pigmentation. Additionally, Democrat politicians are mostly white guys, so I'm not following her reasoning at all, and I think you should follow up with the school administration if that's the direction your teacher has given you. I guess I'll stop ranting now.

that depends on your opinion. there are lots of other parties (libertarian, socialist, and green to name a few) but none are as big as dem and rep so they dont ever get elected. Especially because they are really kinda offshoots from the big two anyway.

Your right, that's just how politics in our country has become. Niether side of the isle is without its faults, and the fact that senators will argue a case simply because it is thier party's stance and not thier own. Our Congressmen (and women) need to think for themselves, and for what is best for the people they serve, not for thier wallets.

I think as the younger generation gets in and the old one goes out it will become more forward thinking, but its a cycle. The older you get, and the longer you have been away from the people, in a special section of society the less you know or care about the issues. That's why i think its better for fresh minds to come in and overthrow the entrenched way of thinking every once in a while, like what our founding fathers did. Im not saying start a revolution, just speaking figuratively about the established way of thinking

Historically speaking, Republicans are the better party.

I agree with you. We need to clean house, starting with Nancy Pelosi, who is from an Italian politican family. The only thing that woman knows is how to be a politician. Perhaps people sitting in Congress should have to take an advanc scholastic test to enter into the field.

At the core level, it depends on two choices:

    1. Stability at the expense of progress, or

    2. Progress at the expense of stability

Take your pick 1. Republican, or 2. Democrat. This makes more sense when viewed over a longer period of time, perhaps 100 years.

    The Constitutionalist Party

  • I think everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, I think neither one is better than the other, because they are just oppisites on believes. I am with the Democrats all the way!

We need NO parties sir. This country was partially founded on the principle that there should be no political parties. But it was also founded on a monetary system and as such is doomed to fail just as bad as any other system. Communism had it almost right. Anyway, large parties of any kind makes absolutely no sense.

I can agree that people who voted for "CAP AND TAX"

and people who voted for "Stimulus"

and people who voted to socialize the Auto Industry

and people who voted to bail out the banks...

and especially the people who were NOT watching the store like Barney Frank and CHRIS DODD.

and anyone who said they would vote for socialize medicine...

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE SENT PACKING.

And we need to DISCONTINUE their benefits. All Congressmen and SENATORS pull FULL PAY and COMPLETE (non-obama care) health benefits to the day they die.

To me... If we FIRE THEM... those benefits should STOP.

If I crash my race car... do you think I shouldn't have to pay for it?
