You can purchase them. The problem is they are not exact. For example a drug company like viagra was doing a drug study. They made study drug. It was in coded bottles. They all looked like viagra. They just did not have the code that viagra that patients get from their doctor (non-study) viagra. The drug was coded by the manufacturer and looked like the tablet without the imprint because it was the study supply. It had codes on the bottle and only the company knew which bottle contained active or placebo. This was only available tru studies. Pharmacies used to dispense placebos regularly, but it is now considered unethical. There is not a placebo out for every drug. You could not get a matching drug inless your friend was in a study. Your friend would sign consent to be in a study and the consent would state that he or she would be taking active or placebo. There are capsules of placebo capsules that one can purchase. I think they are only available to places that conduct drug studies and have liscences with the dea. Places are really stict and things are not that obvious as it would sound. Even large quantities of empty capsules require a dea narcotic liscence because there are so many illegeal activities with meth going on. Just because you want something does not mean you can get it. Just because you want to purchase something does not mean you can and there may be legal implications to you messing with your friend and medication. If you want to help your friend you can encourage them to go to seek addiction help or contact their doctor and tell them their is a problem. Just do not mess with the friend and the medication. PS are you authorized in tapering a person off addictive medication? Do you know what to do it the person goes into withdrawl? You do not want to cause your friend's death. Leave this to the professionals and get help. PSS If you give the person some vitamin or other supplement these people are mentioning you can hurt your friend in a different way. You are playing with fire. Please do not mess with this situation. You can hurt someone. You can go to jail. What is it you want. Can you call the cops on this person instead? At least you will not kill your friend with your ignorance.
