your sleeplessness is not related to flax seed oil in any ways. There is some other factor in your sleep pattern.
May be your days activity or something else. I take flax oil or fish oil in my pre bed meal every day and i dont see any such patttern sleep loss. By the way i am very sensitive to caffine (if i take caffine at 3. pm i wont be able to sleep till 12 mid nite

that is not normal reaction to flaxseed oil from what i know flaxseed oil has nothing to do with your energy level however flaxseed oil is closely related to heavy weight training or endurance training as it increases the moisture content within your major joints allowing for more flexibility as well as making your joints stronger and less prone to injury so it could be that it had some sort of chemical compound that increased energy as the manufacturers may have assumed that you were working out while taking the oil

Highly unlikely that this is due to the Flaxseed unless you had some allergic reaction. There is no caffeine in flaxseed oils.
